A Perfect Weekend Getaway

Lucky for me I was invited to go to the Lodge at Cordevalle, just outside of San
Jose. Many of you are always looking for that great weekend escape and this is
it! Built for the dot-com group, there are only 28 bungalows, 5 one-bedroom
villas, and 3 fairways homes consisting of 4 bedrooms each with private
entrance. The rooms all have fireplaces, plasma-screen satellite TV and all face
the golf course. There is not a room without a great view. ANDREW HARPER'S
HIDEWAY notes the Lodge as one of the best-kept Golf Secrets. For those of you
are golf nuts it was built by Robert Trent Jones. Jr.
Now my favorite part � the Spa ...the treatments are wonderful; however,
remember that this was built for the dot commers - so they improved the men�s'
spa with private treatment rooms and outdoor gardens for alfresco massages,
indoor and outdoor pools, a billiard room and a cigar lounge.
Close by is Clos LaChance Winery which is perfect for a private dinner, wine
tasting or just a picnic. The Lodge will provide transportation to the winery as
it is just up the road. Private hikes can be set up for groups. Also close by is
a stable for those that want to ride (please ask me about it).
